Marks of Maturity - P2

“God hasn’t called you to be a reservoir, where His promise stops with you. He’s called you to be a river where His promise flows through you.” - Tim Mangan

“God hasn’t called you to be a reservoir, where His promise stops with you. He’s called you to be a river where His promise flows through you.” - Tim Mangan

As followers of Jesus, we go through several seasons of spiritual growth. It's important to recognize that God’s will, however, is for us to feed and sustain ourselves. Each week we will be focusing on two key benchmarks that can help us flourish and become all that god has called us to be.

This week we will be focusing on:

- The Call to Serve

&

- The Call to be Generous

The world of the generous gets larger and larger.
— Proverbs 11:24 MSG

“All Jesus needs is a willing heart” - Nick Khiroya

Nick Khiroya visits us this week all the way from Hilllsong Church in Sydney Australia. A life long friend and mentor to Pastor Tim Mangan, Nick played a major role in transforming Tim’s life by guiding him to Christ.

Nick’s sermon this week focuses on the life of Peter. Throughout his journey with Christ, Peter experienced great success, and devastating failures. By studying his life we can see parallels in our own lives today. Nick shares what he believes are the three major lessons found in Peter’s Legacy.

Feed my lambs.

Life in the Faith Lane - P4: Rob Hann

“Being chained to our past robs us of gods plan and purpose for our future.” - Rob Hann

“Being chained to our past robs us of gods plan and purpose for our future.” - Rob Hann

Finishing up our month long series focusing on Life in the Faith Lane, Rob Hann takes the stage and shares the twists and turns he has experienced on his own road to finding Jesus. Originally from Texas, Rob and his mom relocated to Michigan after his father became addicted to alcohol and turned abusive. Having battled poverty, abandonment, insecurity, and aggression since a young age, Rob’s walk through life has been anything but easy. Throughout all of this, rob refuses to believe in the lies of the enemy and proclaims “I am not a mistake. “

Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the word of his servant? Let the one who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on their God.
— Isaiah 50:10

Life in the Faith Lane - P1 : Erik VanHall

“Don’t just sit back and get comfortable because you will never grow” - Erik VanHall.

“Don’t just sit back and get comfortable because you will never grow” - Erik VanHall.

Kicking off our month long series "Life in the Faith Lane”, Erik VanHall takes to the stage and tells us about his own path to god. Erik has come to realize that much of his own spiritual growth can be attributed to the people in his life (like his grandmother and sister) who would push him out of his comfort zone. These continuous shoves into the unknown have taught Erik to confront daunting situations, and turn them into something that benefits all of the those around him.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
— jeremiah 29:11

On the Way - P3: Baptism

We continue with our series dedicated to studying moments when several key figured were called to god while they were "On the Way" through their life.

This week we focus on the story of Philip, when one day after speaking to a large crowed was commanded to travel to Gaza by an angel of the lord. Without hesitation Philip set off and inevitably altered the life of a man by baptizing him on their journey. Philip's unquestioning faith lead him to a man who held a tremendous amount of influence over the people and would lead to eternal change. He was bold enough to stand before the masses, yet also humble enough to simply sit with the one. By serving the people around us we are inadvertently serving Jesus as well.

On the Way - P2 : An Invitation To More

Throughout the Bible god makes it clear that where you are at in life isn't important, it's how you respond to him that is. This week Tim asks us an important question.

"What would Jesus ask you to let go of? What is it in your life that is holding you back from chasing after Jesus completely? "

Whether it's a relationship, a hobby, your career, money, a mind set, addictions, or anything; if something is holding you back from following in gods plan than it just isn't worth it.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
— Jeremiah 29:11

The Impact of Obedience - P1: Living How You’re Called To Live

As we begin a new series, Past Tim Mangan tackles the concept of obedience and goes on to explain that our obedience to God should never be seen as a burden, but as a pathway His blessing.

"Our obedience to God should always come as an overflow of our heart towards him"

Heart for the House - Episode 3: Our Heart for God's House

In the third and final episode of our annual Heart for the House Series, Pastor Tim Mangan discusses the importance of having a heart for God’s House and one another. Much of the time that requires our willingness to sacrifice.

“Faith accompanied by itself without action is dead”

Heart for the House - Episode 2: God Wants to Bless You

In the second episode of our annual Heart for the House Series Pastor Tim Mangan explains that god has heart not just for his house, but for ours as well. He wants to bless our homes, we just need to put our trust and faith in him.
